Gates Mills Police Department
Proud to Serve…Sworn to Protect
From Your Police Department:
On Friday, April 17th, your Gates Mills Police Department held our 1st ‘Coffee with Cops” at the Town Hall. The event was very successful as several residents and school officials from the community stopped in to talk about whatever was on their mind with Sgt Michael Pollutro and me. Because of the success we will be planning another event later this year.
Many residents have reported to our police department that they have been a victim of both Identity and Tax ID Theft. As a result of this growing nationwide crime, we will be hosting an informational seminar at the Community House later in the year to reduce your chances of becoming a crime victim. I will keep you updated in this column and on our webpage when this program is scheduled.
Back by popular demand, the Gates Mills Police and Fire Department and Gilmour Academy, will be partnering together for our 2nd annual Safety Town from Monday, June 15, through Friday, June 19. This event will again be held at the Gilmour Academy Ice Arena and was very successful last year! Officers Angela Suchetka and Charlene Strasshofer do a tremendous job of working with the kids.
You will notice in this edition of the Pink Sheet we have highlighted two of your police department members, Sergeant Randy Savage and Patrolman Arch Kimbrew. I hope providing some background about the officers will allow you to get to know whose patrolling the village roadways and serving your needs. Over time, we will be featuring all of our police officers in the Village.
Until next month – Proud to Serve…Sworn to Protect
Yours in Service,
Gregg Minichello
